Hi folks! As you may have noticed, my public profile is gaining recognition at numerous online sites including Twitter, Facebook, Amazon and Authorsdb.

The fans have been amazing, reaching out to me and letting me know how much my books had an impact on them.  Some of the comments have been very sweet, touching and of course, incredibly personal.  Numerous readers have admitted that they bullied too at a young age which surprised me.  If you had met them today, you would wonder why anyone wou...

Designs

Posted by jennifer gibson on Friday, April 26, 2013,
As an illustrator and photographer, it's not a surprise that I love colours and designs.  They move me, make me smile and gasp in awe.  Even the most simplistic design can work extremely well.  I'm not necessarily referring to posters, ads or book covers, although I will discuss that in a moment.  Even mother nature can produce gorgeous collaborations by the placement of colourful flowers grouped together or a single tulip against a weather worn barn door.  It can draw your eye to a beautiful...

Enterprise

Yes, I'm a Star Trek fan and no, that's not what this post is about.  I told you that my mind was a strange place to be, it can be rather quirky at times ;)

I've always been very much of a hands on type of person, taking control of my life by running my own businesses.  Doing freelance work required an immense amount of dedication and focus.  It also meant that I had to be willing to take risks by venturing outside of my comfort zone such as doing wedding photography or portraits.  Did I enj...

Glimmer

I often get the most interesting questions from my readers, the most popular one is: Did that really happen?

My response, it depends on which event it is ;)  I'm very cheeky with my answers and I do want to keep you on your toes.  Curiosity is a great motivator to find out what happens next.  And yes, some of those lingering questions from Sway are indeed answered in Compass and Destiny, much will be revealed.

For the most part, over 65% of it is true. Some scenes have obviously been expande...

Just singing in the rain...

Posted by jennifer gibson on Wednesday, April 10, 2013,
Sorry, it's raining outside and I couldn't help myself.  Yep, I'm definitely a Gene Kelly fan.  And in fact, watched many of his movies to learn his awesome dance moves to prepare myself for a dance production I was in a few years ago. Cool eh?

Speaking of theatre, I've been in a number of plays and enjoyed the experience very much. Did I find it nerve wracking and impossible to follow? No, not really as long as I paid attention to what was going on and followed the script.  Knowing my lines a...

Yep! It's real.

Posted by jennifer gibson on Tuesday, April 9, 2013,
Huh? What's real? Lately I've been asked all sorts of curious questions about my books from fans, readers, interviewers, reporters and bloggers.  There's nothing wrong with those inquisitive inquiries, however, I can be quite a tease when it comes to answering them.  I like hiding messages in my stories and responses since it keeps people guessing and that's a lot of fun!

Since not everyone has read my latest release, Compass, I will be dropping hints and offering really interesting tidbits a...

Follow me

Posted by jennifer gibson on Tuesday, April 2, 2013,
Hi folks!

It always amazes me whenever a fan tells me how much they loved reading my books.  It's even more impressive when it's someone that I didn't expect to hear them say this to me.  Why? Well, it's primarily because I originally wrote the trilogy series for the young adult market, specifically teens with a disability.  Now, I'm finding out that readers aged 10 and up, are delving into it, including parents and grandparents! I never expected it to reach such a wide audience like that!

As...
